Misery of Pursuit
The word "Pursuit" always weighs on my mind and often mutters, "When will you become a saint or ascetic?" I humbly whisper to myself, trying my best not to let him listen, "Does it make me stop following you?" It seems as if Pursuit itself has become exhausted and uncertain due to our relentless acquisitiveness.
I wonder if one could restrain themselves from Pursuit. Ideally, those who are canonized have been put on a throne of indifference by the so-called intellectuals in society. But that idea deserves reconsideration. A societal person on one side and someone who follows a sacrosanct path for the greater good on the other side can both be confined in the same size fit closet of rapacity. In fact, I would be more concerned about the ascetic's closet size than the societal person's. The debate about who truly pursues Pursuit still continues.
In the context of life, "Success" is undoubtedly a vital and coveted thing for anyone. The path to success mainly concerns Pursuit itself. This may explain why societal individuals, who live their lives to the fullest as expected, end up being accused of causing annoyance to Pursuit. On the other hand, ascetics are not considered to be on the same level as gregarious individuals when it comes to necessitating Pursuit. Does this seem fair to all? Sorry, but it is a completely upside-down track for me!
KARMA
Divinity empowers us by giving us the opportunity to strive for ourselves or others until our journey takes us to the highest point and embraces our loved ones. This incredible gift is called LIFE. When you have an opportunity to help someone, you naturally care about their performance and want to bring out their best. Similarly, the all-powerful entity that provided us with LIFE would be extremely concerned.
At this point, the concept of Providence comes into play. One of the greatest achievements is to fully embrace the responsibilities we owe, as if it is the complete verdict for the provider. Our due responsibilities to the provider, in other words, the responsibilities we should uphold, are tied to LIFE, and the provider is Divinity. It is our ultimate KARMA!
"What do you see, Pursuit? Tell me! Do you truly see ascetics and us on the same level, paying back our due responsibilities? Do you genuinely agree with the common viewpoint on this planet? If you thought the way I do, your misery would have already vanished, because you would have realized that misery cannot leave you until you let it go." After analyzing the reasons for misery, I answered Pursuit. Pursuit is definitely very close to us, and the competition is about who can win it first before it disappears. But do we all really need Pursuit with the same intensity? Do we all deserve to pursue it to the extent we desire? "NO!! But if I had been an ascetic or saint, I would not have deserved you at all, yet I would have pursued you more than anyone else (WHY?). Would that have ended your misery? Would it have filled your heart with the transformation of my soul? NO!!"
BONDS OF TRANSMIGRATION
Gregarious individuals, those who are not ascetics, sacrilege or otherwise, have been fulfilling their responsibilities since they were given the opportunity and continue to do their deeds or karma. Life is complex and full of striving; it is not about freeing oneself from it. Ultimately, even divinity desires to confront life rather than merely seeking liberation or "Moksha Prapti." There is no better way to repay than to confront the provider, and as social beings, we are all doing it.
However, on the other side of the coin, if we talk about ascetics or those who are not concerned about repaying anyone, as if they have never experienced hardship or contemplated their obligations towards others, they solely focus on the ultimate goal of spirituality—the release of the soul from the cycle of transmigration. They disregard the hardships they impose on Pursuit while pursuing desires that sit atop the umbrella of clustered desires. This is the reason why ascetics pursue Pursuit more than anyone, making it increasingly miserable.
Returning to Pursuit, as I do, I find him sitting calmly, as if he had misunderstood the cause of his misery and blamed only me, when in fact others are also accountable. Eventually, Pursuit has come to a conclusion and shared the thoughts gathered after our conversation in a single statement: "Please allow me to accompany you in enduring the miseries, but never transform yourself into an ascetic to trouble me further. I no longer wish to be bothered because I HAVE KNOWN MY MISERY."
FIRST DESERVE THEN DESIRE !!!!
